Everything you need to know before climbing Mount Rinjani or booking your Komodo sailing cruise.
Mount Rinjani is a challenging trek requiring good cardiovascular endurance and leg strength. The final summit push (starting at 02:30 AM from the crater rim) involves hiking 3 to 4 hours on loose volcanic scree with steep inclines. Regular hiking, jogging, or stair workouts for 4–6 weeks prior will make your summit experience significantly more enjoyable. For beginner hikers, we highly recommend our 2D1N Senaru Crater Rim trek, which offers world-class caldera views without the demanding loose scree summit push.
